October 8, 2008 | GRIT-TV New York, NY -- It was a good night for "That One" and John McCain seems desperate for friends. He used the word over and over, a subconscious plea for help. Has the Republican Party run out of ideas? On many issues, especially domestic policy, there were stark differences between the candidates. There was plenty of common ground, however, on Afghanistan, Israel, and Warren Buffett. Both suggested that he'd make a pretty good Treasury Secretary. On GRITtv we take a look at the policy differences between the candidates after debate number two--with Andrea Batista Schlesinger of the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy; Rosa Clemente, Vice Presidential candidate for the Green Party; Nate Loewentheil of the Roosevelt Institution - the nation's first student think tank; and Dan Gerstein, Former senior adviser to Senator Joe Lieberman's vice presidential and presidential campaigns Click here to watch video of this GRIT-TV Roundtable Discussion.
